Catholic School Inspection Report 2026
Salesian was found to be Outstanding in the three main judgement areas and the nine sub-judgements.
There are many highlights from the report which describes the students as being 'proud to 'be Salesian'' and 'knowing they are loved'. The report also describes how 'students feel safe because they know that all members of the community are treated with respect and kindness'; it goes on to state that students' attitude to learning are 'excellent'. In a letter from the Director of the Catholic Education Service to Headteacher Paul Gower, Julie Oldroyd said: 'The report highlights how the school holds its Salesian charism at its core, celebrates the committed and inspirational leadership of the Catholic life of the school and the embedding of its identity'.
