The Duke of Edinburgh's Award
The Duke of Edinburgh Award is the world’s leading achievement award for young people. D of E is an opportunity to discover new interests and talents, but most importantly, develop skills for life and work. Owning a D of E award recognises independence, resilience and self-motivation and is highly respected by universities, employers and recognised internationally.
Salesian is proud to operate one of the largest and most successful cohorts in Surrey, offering bespoke, in house training from our excellent D of E team. We offer D of E for Year 9 (Bronze), Year 10 (Silver) and Year 12 (Gold). All levels can be completed within a year.
There are four sections to complete at Bronze and Silver level and five at Gold, which you can explore below:
Students undertake service to individuals or the community.
Students aim to improve in an area of sport, dance or fitness.
Students develop practical skills, social skills and personal interests.
Students plan and train for the completion of an adventurous journey in the UK or overseas.
