Attendance
At Salesian, our mission is to provide an outstanding Catholic education, and regular attendance is essential—not just for academic success, but also for building social connections and personal growth. Our school’s target is that all children have an attendance above 96%.
Below is a reminder of what to do should you need to report your child absent from school.
Reporting Illnesses via the Arbor App
We are pleased to let you know that you can now report your child’s illness directly through the Arbor Parent App. This new feature makes it quicker and easier to notify us of absences without needing to email.
To report an absence on Arbor:
- Log onto the Parent Portal in Arbor
- Select Attendance under Quick Actions
- If you are using a mobile device press the “three lines at the bottom left of the screen
- Select Log Absence
- Complete the absence time (only for that day) and the reason for absence
- Press Log Absence
More detailed guidance can be found here: Report a daily absence
Please encourage your child to come to school, even if they are feeling under the weather. If they become unwell during the day, then our Student Services Team will assess them and call you if necessary.
You can find helpful NHS advice on whether your child should stay home here.
