Year 8s visit Dieppe

Dieppe_2015_380.jpgManaging to rearrange our departure times to avoid some of the travel hold-ups that had been affecting cross-channel travel, we started bright and breezily on Friday morning from Guildford Road. First stop was Cite Europe for some essential shopping, followed by a trip to Nausicaa Aquarium for some shark and seal-watching! Then onto the Chateau we went - when we got off the coach it was roasting and we knew we had finally arrived in the tropics! Day 2 saw us visit Dieppe - where we had a lovely walk around the market and enjoyed crepes - whilst we waited for the coach's flat tyre to be repaired!! Day 3 saw lots of activities - including an archery competition (which Mr Browne's group won by two points over Mr Howell's!). Miss O'Connor's group, however, reigned supreme over quizland - before we all headed to our rooms to pack our bags and get ready for an early departure on Monday. A great time had by all: students and staff behaved themselves - and put their French to effective use!
