On June 29th students attended a 'Post-18 options day', where Meg and Steve from the Life Skills Company gave students information and advice about the choices that they have after Sixth Form, and how to present themselves in writing and in person for interview. Students benefitted greatly from this opportunity as they were all able to write up a first draft of their personal statement / covering letters. Former students representing the alternative routes after sixth form (Claudia Wingfield, Josh Keene, Zach Fuller and Luke Edgecombe) also spoke to students.
Parents and students were then invited to the Post-18 options evening, where they were informed of the application process from admissions tutor (Jonathan Bridges) at Goldsmiths University and Alexia Lavender (previous student at Salesian Sixth Form). A breakout option was also available for those interested in hearing more about the Oxbridge, Medicine, Law and World Of Work route – we are extremely grateful to all the speakers (Seth Garley, Anthony Huckle, Jonathan Sinclair-Williams, Sarah Evans, Claudia Wingfield, Natalie Taylor, Julie Ridley) for their contribution.
