National Young Enterprise Founder's Award

National_Young_Enterprise_Founders_Award_Jul_2013.jpgWe are delighted to announce that on top of the company successes this year for Salesian School, Co-Managing Director of Gradient - Courtney Maloney - was awarded the Young Enterprise Founder's Award for Personal Progress. The award was presented in memory of Sir Walter Salomon, the founder of Young Enterprise, and Courtney was nominated by her Business Advisor, Phil Lucas, of Gavin Jones Ltd, a supporter of Salesian’s Young Enterprise scheme for the last three years.

Courtney was invited to attend the Young Enterprise Final in Kensington on 1st July to collect her award and watch the finalists present their companies. It was a fantastic evening, with inspirational speakers such as Jamal Edwards, the 22 year old founder of pioneering multimedia company SB.TV, Micheal Acton Smith, CEO and Founder of Mind Candy, the makers of the Moshi Monster brand, and Steph McGovern, BBC Business’s News Reporter. Courtney walked away with a wonderful certificate and glass trophy as well as a cheque for £500! Well done Courtney and thank you Gavin Jones!
