Memorial Service for Ina Coles RIP

Screen_Shot_2015-05-08_at_14.53.38.pngOn Wednesday April 15th at 4pm, a short service of prayer and reflection was held at Salesian School Chertsey, in honour of Ina Coles RIP.

The service, held at the Guildford Road site, commenced with words of welcome and an introduction by the Chaplain, Fr. Marco Villani SDB. Six members of staff who knew Ina Coles for a number of years were invited to share their memories and personal insights into the work and character of someone who worked in the school for well over thirty years in a variety of roles; teacher of Geography and RE, Head of Year, SENCO and Chaplain.

The service was attended by both current and former members of staff, with a number of present and past pupils expressing their appreciation for the impact that Ina had on their lives. Members of the Chertsey Cooperators and deanery parishioners were also in attendance.

The service concluded with the blessing of a friendship bench kindly donated by the current SENCO, a commemorative plaque and a freshly planted olive tree in Ina's honour.
