A group of 78 Year 7 students have just spent the weekend at the PGL adventure centre in Osmington Bay, Dorset, taking part in a whole host of activities while exploring Maths & Science in action. They enjoyed a packed schedule which included abseiling, aeroball, quad biking, giant swing, climbing and archery.
Whilst having fun in the outdoors they were also collecting probability data, analysing their heart rates and calculating speeds to give students the experience of the practical application of classroom theories.
The whole weekend was a great opportunity to answer the golden question of 'why do we learn this?' as well as taking part in lots of team building. A fun-filled weekend was enjoyed by all!
