Make Some Noise 2018Make_some_noise.JPG

On Friday September 28th, a group of Year 9 pupils from Salesian School Chertsey was taken by the School Chaplain Fr. M Villani SDB and the Assistant Head of Year 7, Miss S Nelson, to Thornleigh Salesian College for the third "Make Some Noise" gathering. This event, organised by the Salesian Youth Ministry Team, is open to young people from Salesian schools and parishes as well as other institutions with a Salesian connection.

Leaving Chertsey on Friday, the group went by minibus to Bolton. After a series of evening icebreaker activities, the young people had an experience of worship, including singing, music and silent Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

The following morning, everyone went to the Chapel for Morning Prayer before enjoying a series of fairground attraction, activities and games in order to facilitate a greater sense of belonging to the wider Salesian family. After the concluding Mass, pupils returned to Guildford Road Saturday evening.

I am grateful for the fantastic attitude of the Year 9 participants and for the terrific support of Miss Nelson, without whose assistance this trip would not have been possible.
