Halloween comes early!

It was a quiet, eerie night on Friday October 10th and not a creature was stirring after mid-afternoon.

Then there was a bang, then a clang.

It was the sound of our young volunteers Jesus Curtis, Francesca Fisher, Hannah Crowe, Chris D'Ozario, Vicky,Duell, Gellert Kiss, Sam Sotomi, Jack Frain, Kieran decorating the hall to turn it into the dining hall of Count Dracula. At 7pm sharp Year 7s began arriving for the Salesian fancy dress Monster Ball in some of the best and scariest outfits we have ever seen.

With DJs Gellert Kiss and Jack Frain spinning tunes on the decks, over 100 young zombies, vampires, ghosts and werewolves took to the floor to dance the night away. Every student made such a fantastic effort and showed true Salesian spirit getting involved in every part of the night including the epic dance-off and the largest Salesian flashmob.

The winners of the evening for not only the best girl and boy fancy dress costumes but for staying in character the whole night were Ellen Weth and Ruairidh Colquhoun, and congratulations to RUA house for coming first in the House Halloween fancy dress competition

Special thanks to all the staff who gave up their time: Mr Thomas for the sound and lighting, Miss Honeywood Head of Year 7, Mr Newman, Miss Barclay, Mr Corry, Mrs Donnachie, Mr Smith, Miss Barker and Father Marco.

Enjoy our pictures. Warning - not for those of a nervous disposition!
