Frolics in La Fosca

IMG_1181_Custom.JPGIn August, 45 of our current Year 8-into-9 students and six brave staff, travelled to the beautiful and sunnier than expected Costa Brava for an exhilarating water sports trip.

It was an action-packed week to say the least, each day offered a different activity on the beautiful Mediterranean Sea from canoeing to paddle boarding, a trip to a nearby waterpark and even an afternoon of Beach Olympics. You would have thought that at this point the students would have been exhausted but each day was rounded off with an activity at the campsite and funnily enough, the opportunity to create a robot out of cardboard and attack each other (and certain members of staff) with sticky gunge was one not to be missed.

Whatever the challenge, the student’s energy and enthusiasm was infectious. Our gung-ho team of staff (Mr Browne, Miss Payne, Mr Hicks, Miss Crabb, Ms Gallagher and Mr Curson) are already in training for next year as the student versus staff record was not looking to healthy by the end of the week! Despite this, both students and staff would agree that they would be hard pushed to find a better way to end their Summer holidays.

Bring on La Fosca 2016!
