Salesian School at FLAME 2017

Flame_2.jpgSalesian School was well represented by students and staff at the recent FLAME 2017 event. This event, run by the Catholic Youth Ministry Federation (CYMFED), takes place every two years at the SSE Arena at Wembley. A number of students and staff attended with their parishes, particularly those preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation. A group representing Salesian School joined other Salesians from various parts of the country in a diverse programme of activities. Music, singing, dance routines, acting, speeches, informative talks and an opportunity for silent prayer during Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament concluded with Benediction. The feedback from the event is always positive. The challenge is to maintain the genuine fervour generated from such an event! Students and staff are encouraged to speak to the School Chaplain, Fr. Marco Villani SDB, to see how they can move forward and implement the commitments made in Wembley.
