Decoding the code-breakers

Bletchley_2017_Custom.jpgThe IT and Computing department took 27 students to visit the home of the codebreakers at Bletchley Park this week. After being split into groups the students experienced a lesson in codes and ciphers where they were able to experience using an Enigma machine (see picture) and learn about the fundamentals of how the codes were broken. This was followed by a very detailed guided tour of the site and its buildings.

All students were left with a lasting impression of the significant part Bletchley Park played in shortening the war.
