The (now) annual Barcelona trip was a great success, with plenty of cultural and linguistic exposure for all.
The students and staff were all worn out by a very busy schedule - one that packed in most of what Barcelona has to offer in a fairly short space of time. They had the chance to show off new-found Flamenco skills and master Spanish bingo, and we dare say the experience of sharing large bunk rooms with so many of their peers was also a new experience they won't forget. Our third day saw us take on the majority of the city on foot, including Gaudi's famous Sagrada Familia, snacking on churros, and surviving the Spanish Metro strike.
We were blessed with pretty decent weather and are certainly glad we didn't go any later in the year; 18 degress Celsius was more than enough for most!
Students were given a fair bit of freedom and we could always rely on them to look out for each other and be back at meeting points on time. They were an absolute delight and did themselves and the school very proud indeed.
