The Learning Resources Centres (LRC) are places where students can come to research, study and do homework using our 7000-strong book collection and 120 PCs (60 each at the Guildford Road and Highfield Road sites).
The computers have all the programs installed that students will need for their time at Salesian and are connected to a printer that every student has access to. During their time at Salesian, students will use the LRC as a classroom as well for computer research and controlled assessment lessons. They are encouraged to borrow books (up to 2 for up to a fortnight at a time) and have access to newspapers and magazines.
The LRC is also the place where students can receive help with Show My Homework, get more printer credits if the need arises and receive a new timetable should theirs be lost. There are teaching assistants in the Guildford Road LRC on Monday-Wednesday from 3.30 to 4.30 to help with homework and the LRC is always staffed by one of the LRC team.
